Everything started with the Kickstarter campaign, which gave the start-up great visibility: the video explaining the idea went around the web with 50 million views without sponsorships. All day in the office, running to the gym and then out to dinner with the girl. Without the need to go home to change shoes. Just pull the zip to wear (and take with you everywhere) all the models you want. Two Italian boys have invented an innovative modular shoe: on the same sole, it is possible to mount and change 100 different uppers, light and easy to carry. Sporty, classic, casual: the style changes in a few seconds and the impact on the environment is also reduced. Behind the idea of Acbc, there are two young people returned to Italy to revolutionize the world of footwear. The project was born in 2016 when the two founders of Acbc were abroad. Gio Giacobbe lived in Shanghai, after working as general manager of Trussardi for Asia and before that for Peuterey and Tommy Hilfiger. Edoardo Iannuzzi, on the other hand, already had several consultants in the industrial design world in the United Kingdom. The modular shoe is made up of a sole on which different "skins" can be mounted, depending on the needs. The concept of the adjustable shoe was born with two needs: ability to adapt to the constant movements and journeys that characterize contemporary life, and reduce the impact on the environment caused by production. Without sacrificing aesthetics. Sustainability starts with transport: a skin takes up little space and clutches 80 percent less than a shoe. Thus on one hand the consumer reduces the weight of his baggage; and on the other hand, it acquires fewer pairs and helps to reduce the pollution deriving from the production of shoes. By buying one sole and two skins instead of two pairs of shoes, you cut the consumption of raw material - the plastic - and the amount of energy needed to inject the plastic into the mold. 35 single-brand stores (8 in Italy, 9 in China, the rest between North and East Europe) and collaborations with Armani, Moschino and Mtv and many more on the way.
