In the middle of Lake Garda, the picturesque Sirmione peninsula is a small village with a medieval structure and is now completely pedestrianized. To welcome you, as soon as you cross the imposing high bridge that separates it from the mainland, the suggestive Scaliger Castle built in the fourteenth century. Walking and getting lost in the streets of the center it is easy to come across unforgettable glimpses and testimonies of the past; for example, the famous caves of Catullus, a Roman domus located at the northern end of the peninsula. The town is famous all over the world for the homonymous Baths of Sirmione, whose therapeutic virtues were already known in Roman times.
